NMD Council Chair Glyn Hanna supports World Prevention Day with groups at Cranfield Beach
World Drowning Prevention Day, which raises awareness that drowning deaths are preventable and promotes actions that save lives, was marked at Cranfield Beach outside Kilkeel on 25th July with a series of free activities.
Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Glyn Hanna, joined representatives from a number of organisations including the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI), Coastguard, Inspire, Bolster Community, Geology Rocks, Swim Ulster and the Mae Murray Foundation.
