Police say they are following up on a report of two men in balaclavas who robbed a man, hitting him on the head
Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of an aggravated burglary in Ballygowan earlier today, Tuesday 21st July.
Detective Sergeant Marley said: “Shortly before 12.45pm, it was reported that two men wearing balaclavas and dressed in dark clothing entered a house in the Manse Road area.
“They fled the scene when the occupant arrived home, making off with a sum of cash in a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf which was waiting outside. The occupant was struck on the head by one of the suspects during the incident.
