County Down entrants to the Best Dressed Man and Woman at Down Royal Ladies Day were well placed

Fashion, flair and fabulous race day style were on fully display at Down Royal Racecourse on Saturday 20th June as thousands of racegoers turned out for Ladies Day at the 2026 BoyleSports Summer Festival of Racing.
With competition fierce and standards higher than ever, the racecourse’s highly anticipated style competitions once again proved one of the highlights of the day, with prizes awarded for Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man and Best Dressed Couple.

Sarah McCulla from Kilkeel has been named among the top ten finalists in the prestigious BOOKIT by NI Travel News Best Dressed Lady competition at Down Royal Racecourse’s Ladies Day, held on Saturday 20th June as part of the BoyleSports Summer Festival of Racing.
Sarah McCulla impressed an expert judging panel with a look that combined sophistication and elegance, earning her a place in the top ten of one of Northern Ireland’s most-anticipated annual style competitions.

Selecting the winners was an expert judging panel comprising Grainne McCoy, beauty entrepreneur, broadcaster and content creator, Vicki Allen, content creator and digital personality, Christine McCleery, General Manager at BOOKIT by NI Travel News, and William Stewart from Freddie Hatchet.

The overall BOOKIT by NI Travel News Best Dressed Lady title was awarded to Danielle Crowley from Belleek, Co. Fermanagh, who took home a £3,000 Jet2holidays voucher.
The Freddie Hatchet Best Dressed Man title went to Calum White from Millisle, and the Best Dressed Couple award was presented to Shane and Sasha McCusker, who won a luxury two-night stay at Slieve Donard.
