Mathison Welcomes Permanent Home for Ballynahinch Banking Hub

Alliance MLA for Strangford Nick Mathison has welcomed the news that a permanent premises has been secured for the Ballynahinch Banking Hub.

Currently, the Hub is operating out of a temporary site in the CWH in the town however confirmation has now been made that the Banking Hub will move to its new, permanent premises at 29 High Street, Ballynahinch.

It is understood that work will begin to transform the new premises on 29th September 2029, with the temporary services remaining open at this time.

“It is welcome news to hear that a permanent lease has now been completed for the Ballynahinch Banking Hub,”said Mr Mathison.

“Alliance led the path for this provision following our request for a community consultation on a Community Banking Hub within the town.

“It is great to see it going from strength to strength, and the confirmation of a new, permanent location will hopefully provide reassurance to residents that the service is here to stay.”

“The Ballynahinch Banking Hub provides a number of banking services for residents on site.

“At a time when so many banks are moving to online provision only, it is welcome to see this service flourishing, especially for those who are not confident online.”
