Ardglass Golf Club Builds Tourism With Council

Top Golfing Influencers Tee Off in Ardglass Thanks to Newry Mourne and Down District Council Partnership

Ardglass Golf Club is getting up to the next level in servicing golfing tourists from across North America.

Newry Mourne and Down District Council is teeing up a winning combination of golf and social media this summer, welcoming eight top golfing influencers to Ardglass for a showcase of sport, culture and local hospitality.

The Council played a central role in bringing the group to the district, building the partnership through its strategic engagement at leading B2B travel and tourism events.

This work led to a collaboration with Canadian-based tour operator Beyond Golf Tours, creating a unique opportunity to present Ardglass to a global audience and position it as a must-visit destination for both golf and tourism.

The influencers, with a combined social media reach in the millions, teed off on 21 August at the iconic Ardglass Golf Club, renowned for its breathtaking coastal views and rich history.

Over the course of their visit, they will capture and share highlights with their followers, putting Ardglass and its surrounding gems firmly on the golfing map.

Welcoming the group before play began, Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Philip Campbell said: “We are delighted to welcome these talented golfing influencers to Ardglass.

“Their visit provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our unique coastal landscapes and warm hospitality to a global audience. We hope they enjoyed every moment of their time in Mourne Gullion Strangford.”

While on the course, the group also enjoyed a Two Stacks Whiskey tasting experience in the picturesque cottage beside Ardglass Golf Course, pairing the rich flavours of local hospitality with their golfing adventure.

Their stay at the Burrendale Hotel offered comfortable accommodation, exceptional dining, and the perfect base to relax and recharge after a day of content creation and golfing.
