Police Appeal After Report Of Petrol Bomb In Downpatrick

Police inquiry follows report of a petrol bombing in Vianstown Heights in Downpatrick

Police are appealing for information following a report of a petrol bomb incident at residential premises in the Vianstown Heights area of Downpatrick on Wednesday, 30th April.

Sergeant Curran said: “Shortly after 00:50am, it was reported that two petrol bombs were thrown which caused damage to a property and a car parked in the area.

“Colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, who were at the scene, extinguished the fires.

“A man in his 20s and a man and a woman, both aged in their 50s, were inside the property but were not injured.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and we would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 45 30/04/25.”
