Armstrong thanks Council for clearing path obstructing pedestrians

Pedestrians using the Old Shore Road can now walk the footpath without being forced onto the road to get past overgrown hedging and brambles. 

Strangford Alliance MLA Kellie Armstrong has thanked Ards and North Down Borough Council for clearing a path that was overgrown causing people to walk on the road.

Kellie Armstrong MLA contacted the Council who sprung into action and cut back the hedging within a week.

Kellie Armstrong MLA said: “I’m glad to see the footpath is now clear and accessible for local residents.

“I want to thank the Ards and North Down Borough Council for maintaining this walk-way and their quick efforts to cut back the over growth from the hedge.

“Now all pedestrians including the running club, dog walkers, mums and tots and walkers will no longer have to go onto a busy road or be cut and scratched by brambles”.xa0
