Consultant Appointed For Addiction Services At Ward 15

A consultant has been appointed for the Shimna House addiction services in Downpatrick

The South Eastern HSC Trust is delighted to announce that a permanent Addictions Consultant has now taken up post in Shimna House, (Ward 15) in Downpatrick.

This significant development reflects the Trust’s ongoing commitment to enhance and expand vital addiction services across the South Eastern area.

Shimna House (Ward 15) sees the appointment of a new addictions consultant by the South Eastern HSC Trust.

The Addictions Consultant will provide comprehensive, patient-focused care for those facing addiction challenges.

Welcoming the new appointment, Director of Adult Services and Prison Healthcare, Rachel Gibbs: said: “This new appointment is a step forward in strengthening our addiction services within the South Eastern Trust supporting patients on their journey to recovery.

“Having a permanent Addictions Consultant in post means we can provide consistent, specialist care for individuals and families impacted by addiction.

“The Trust is committed to working collaboratively with patients, families and organisations to support recovery and improve outcomes across the region.”
