Last call for sports’ award nominations for the Newry Mourne and Down District Council 2024 awards
Newry Mourne and Down District Council in association with the Sports Association Newry, Down and South Armagh (SANDSA) have launched their latest sports awards.
Colleen Morrison, NMD Sports Development Officer, said that “as the closing date is Friday 2nd February at 4pm, Council are making a final call for sports’ award entries.
“Recognising the extraordinary achievements of clubs and athletes across the district in 2023, nominations are now open for the NMD Sports Awards in association with SANDSA, which will be held in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle on Friday, March 15.
“Fundamental to these sporting successes is the huge contribution made by coaches, volunteers, mentors, teachers and parents.
“The awards will pay tribute to those helping make the Newry Mourne and Down District Council area an active and healthy district.
“Competition is expected to be strong for the 10 awards.
