Karen, who specialises in hybrid printmaking, was elected to the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers (ARE) and is a member of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts in 2021.xa0

The first Prism exhibition, which comprised of UK and Japanese printmakers, took place at the Yanagisawa Gallery, Tokyo in 2012.xa0

It was curated by John Akatsu Read and Nigel Oxley and 11 years later this voluntary organisation now has 44 members from 18 countries and a catalogue of international and national exhibitions.

The selected works for the ‘Prism: Down’ exhibition are viewed as ‘naked prints’ – unique, unframed prints that allow the viewer to fully appreciate the true quality of the mark, colour, paper texture, and even aroma.

The exhibition runs until Friday 29 September during Down Arts Centre opening Hours.
