McGrath Hits Out At Ambulance Staff Attacks

McGrath condemns heartless attacks on ambulance staff

SDLP Health Spokesperson Colin McGrath MLA has condemned attacks on ambulance staff over the last 24 hours.

SDLP Health Spokesman Colin McGrath MLA has condemned recent attacks on ambulance staff.

Mr McGrath said:“Attacks on ambulance staff whether it’s the 12th July or any date, in any place are absolutely unacceptable.

“Our ambulance crews are lifesavers in our community and worthy of the utmost support and respect.

“Hearing that up to a dozen or more are attacked in some form every week is chilling.

“Anyone who seeks to harm people working to save lives in our community should face severe consequences.

“We should be working to raise the criminal justice response to act as a greater deterrent and let our ambulance staff know that we care for their safety and security at work.”
