Cars damaged in suspected arson in Newtownards
Police are appealing for information following a report of arson at the Carmeen Gardens area of Newtownards on Tuesday 23rd May.
Chief Inspector McGrattan said: “At around 3.35am,it was reported that damage was caused to a silver car in the area.
“A white van also parked nearby was also damaged during the incident
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and we would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to this incident, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 136 23/05/23.xa0
“Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
This incident is not believed to be linked to the ongoing feud between rival drug gangs in Ards and North Down.
