NMD Council engages with public surveys to help develop health and sport strategy

Sports Clubs, Community Groups and Schools are invited to help shape sports, physical activity and wellbeing in the Newry Mourne and Down District Council area.

Colleen Morrison, Council Sports Development Officer, said: “Newry Mourne and Down District Council aim to provide a single mechanism within the Council area to bring together other key public-sector agencies along with community, schools, health organisations and sports groups.

“The council now welcomes your contribution in shaping this strategy by completing the survey below.

“The Newry Mourne and Down Sport, Physical Activity and Wellbeing Strategy will act as a guidance document along with the sports facility strategy to provide progressive pathways and opportunities for both Council and those who facilitate sport and physical activity to work and plan in partnership for the benefit of our citizens.”
