A man has died following an RTA near Newtownards
A man in his 50s has sadly passed away following a two-vehicle collision outside Newtownards, the Police Service of Northern Ireland has confirmed.
The man died after his motorbikexa0was in collision with a red Nissan car onxa0the Portaferry Road outside Newtownards just after midnight on Tuesday, 28th June.xa0xa0
The driver of the car was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.xa0
An investigation is underway and Sergeant Amanda McIvorxa0is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has mobile phonexa0or dashcam footage which could assist officers with their enquiries, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 14 of 28/06/22.
The Portaferry Road was closed for a timexa0overnight and has since reopened.
