Forsythe Backs Work Of Alzheimers Society

Diane Forsythe Supports Dementia Action Week

Recently elected DUP South Down MLA Diane Forsthe has commented on Dementia Action Week. She said: “I was privileged to attend the launch of Dementia Action Week at Stormont. Hearing from the inspiring people of the Alzheimer’s Society as well as individuals personally affected was very powerful.

“I took away excellent information on how we all should work to make public areas dementia friendly and I plan to undertake further training to become a Dementia Friendly Community Champion. xa0

“This is such an important issue and with many younger people being diagnosed and living with this condition it is imperative that we all take time to learn about awareness and early detection signs. There are few families this issue does not affect.

“As a critical charity in the delivery of this service I look forward to working closely with the Alzheimer’s Society in future to support training, awareness and fundraising in the South Down area,” added Diane Forsythe.
