Strangford Woman Wins Mace Monthly Draw Car

Brendan Duffy, from Thomas Duffy and Sons’ Mace Killough, fills up a free tank of petrol for the winner of this month’s Mace Car Giveaway Sally Maguire from Strangford.

STRANGFORD woman Sally Maguire had a great reason to smile recently when she won a brand new Kia Picanto car in a Northern Ireland-wide competition run by Mace retailers.

Thomas Duffy and Sons, owners of Mace Killough, put on a great party to celebrate Sally’s win, with the local community and school children coming down to the popular store to congratulate the winner and soak up the great community atmosphere.

The local store had organised for an Elvis impersonator to entertain the crowds while they made the most of the yummy free food. And when it was finally time to go home, Sally drove off in her brand new car – complete with a free tank of petrol courtesy of Duffy’s Mace!

Store manager Thomas Duffy said: “We always strive to provide the best offering for our customers, but it’s not often we get the chance to give away a new car for free – so when the opportunity came up, we went all out to celebrate! Our store is very community focused, so it was great to bring all the locals, including school children, together for a party in honour of Sally’s win. Congratulations Sally!”

The 150 Mace stores across Northern Ireland have been giving shoppers the chance to win a car each month from June to December in one of the biggest competitions of its kind organised by a Northern Ireland retailer this year. Four Kia Picanto cars are still up for grabs so pop down to your local Mace for yourchance to win!
