2011 Local Council Elections Information

2011 Local Elections Elections across the country have been called and the local government elections in the district of Down will take place on Thursday 5 May 2011. Twenty three Councillors will be elected to represent the four electoral areas of Down district, namely Ballynahinch, Downpatrick, Newcastle and Rowallane. Nomination forms will be available from the Council and from the council’s website www.downdc.gov.uk from Monday 28 March 2011. The formal notice of election will be posted in the Council’s leisure centres, the Council offices and in local libraries on Friday 25 March 2011.xa0 The notice may also be downloaded from the council website.
