£150,000k Resurfacing Scheme On Mill Street In Kilkeel

A £150,000 major carriageway resurfacing scheme on the U6217 Mill Road in Kilkeel has commenced.

The resurfacing work extends a distance of approximately 1km from its junction with Newcastle Street Kilkeel to its junction with Mountain Road Kilkeel.

The work is expected to be substantially completed by 31 March 2017.

To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses two-way traffic flow will be maintained for the most of the works with a short road closure to facilitate resurfacing.

The above planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and TransportNI will keep the public informed of any change.

TransportNI has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
