The Senior’s continue with their mixed form this year as they lose again on the road, this time to Saval. They have a bit of a break on the playing front with no match this Friday. Next fixture is a home affair against Burren on Friday 9 May.

The U-6’s will recommence training at the RGU on Saturday 3 May…don’t forget your boots and water bottle.

U-8’s had their first Go Game matches of the season this morning down at PTR. With the sun shining the lads put in great performances against 2 teams from Carryduff and 1 from Dundrum. Well done to all especially those who played their first matches in the hooped jersey.

U-10’s will travel to St Gall’s on Mayday to take part in their highly regarded annual tournament. RGU were successful in winning this tournament a few years ago and we hope that the current team can perform to their best and give it a rattle. Details at training on Sat morning.

There was an entertaining match at PTR between the U-12 Girls of RGU and Carryduff last week ending in a resounding win for the Hoops. They are at home to Saul tonight at PTR.

The U-16’s take on Ballyholland on Thursday at home and the Reserves are at home to Kilcoo on Fri night. The U-12 Boys play Bryansford and the U-14 Girls play Saval, both at PTR on Sunday. U-14 Boys are away to St Paul’s on Monday night and the Minors play Rostrevor at home on Tuesday.

Now that all our Juvenile teams are back in action we would ask that parents help out as much as possible with transport to matches. Use of the buses is very expensive and is a drain on resources, money which could be put to better use providing school’s coaching, equipment etc for our juvenile teams. Any help will be much appreciated, just contact the team mentors.

We are looking for someone who would be interested in writing match reports and/or take photos of any of our matches both at Senior and Juvenile level. If you would like to give it a go please contact John on 07881626972.

There was a good night’s craic for our juveniles on Saturday evening with the first of what we hope will be regular discos. Many thanks to our young members and friends who came along and supported the club and not forgetting the many who helped make it happen.

Advance notice for Cul Camp Summer 2014. The date for RGU Cul Camp is week 2, 7-11 July.

The Lotto not won and the jackpot rises to £4,900. 8 people share £100. Nrs are 4, 11, 22, & 23.
